The NSPC Dream
National Schools Press Conference (NSPC) – many may view this stage as something hard to reach. In order to reach here, campus journalists would start their journey from the Division Schools Press Conference, the Regional Schools Press Conference, and finally, to the National Schools Press Conference. Some may find it hard and just say that luck will bring you to this path. However, as campus journalists, believe that being in this stage serves a resounding purpose – to give voice to issues that are often ignored.
In this era, where voices are ironically silenced, many people tend to be endangered. They tend to mistakenly take it for something they can command, while others tend to use it as a platform for spreading misleading truths. However, with campus journalists, it can be changed. With proper education and orientation on how to use them properly, they can change how others see it.
So, a campus journalist can do something. They can change the perspective of people. They can encourage people to trust us by speaking out. As its main purpose, they give voice to issues that are typically overlooked.
